Why are checkups Important?
Regular health exams and tests can help find and detect problems early or before they start. Men and women who are healthy need regular preventive services like breast exams, PSA, Pap tests, immunizations, and (starting at age 50) fecal occult blood testing, along with periodic measurements of weight, height, and blood pressure. A yearly checkup is also an opportunity to reassess your risk for various conditions as family history, lifestyle (i.e. what you eat, how active you are, whether you smoke), and other factors that may change from year to year and affect your risk profile.
Regular health exam instructions may be given by doctors to monitor your health progress or find out about new health concerns.
How to get the most out of your checkup?
- Bring written lists of your health profiles (medical reports, List of Vaccines, X-rays, Lab reports…etc), and your current medications.
- Make sure to inform us about your family history.
- Bring up concerns early in the visit, so there is time to address them.
- Tell your doctor if you’re allergic to any medication a medication is not working for you.

I am writing this on behalf of my mother and myself to express our gratitude for the treatment Mr. Peet received at As Salam Hospital. The doctors and nurses were efficient and kind, both to Mr. Peet, and to us as a shocked family. The fact that he progressed so quickly was due to the superb abilities of your staff.I also have nothing but praise for your Guest-Relations team who were there to help us at every stage.
You are simply amazing and I really really appreciate all your ongoing support with appointments and the insurance company.
Nous vous remercions pour ces documents et l’aide apportée lors de l’hospitalisation de Monsieur J B
I was a patient at the As-Salam International Hospital…I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and transferred to the UK. ..I’m British and was working in Cairo. I wanted to thank you for the care I received at the hospital. I was in pretty bad shape when I arrived, but the hospital quickly diagnosed what was wrong and stabilized me in the Medical Intensive Care Unit with steroids. The nurses and doctors looked after me very well there.
Many thanks for all of your help this year, you made some difficult situations much easier to deal
The best surprise of all was the friendliness of the countries we were warned not to go to such as El Salvador, Peru, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Uganda, Egypt, Israel and Jordan. Not only were the people fantastic but we felt completely safe the entire time we were in these countries
I can honestly say and I truly believe that your hospital and staff are the best in all the world. Thanks to the fantastic health care I have received to date, I have been able to do my job with little absences (2 ½ days) and regain my health after suffering a stroke.
This is to express my respect and gratitude to the highest professionalism of medical treatment during the operation and follow up examination at your hospital. Your guest relation staff, Ms. Aisha was always giving great hospitality every time when I visited the hospital after operation, as well as other reception staffs did also. Now I am cured and spending normal life without pain. I want to say thank you again to your hospital and Dr. Essam who took care of me.
