Tabibi 24/7, the leading Egyptian company providing healthcare services for families and children and their strategic partner of Alameda Healthcare, have launched the first program of Tabibi 24/7s Continuing Medical Education Initiative (CMEI) during the period of 21-29 July. This was done in cooperation with Primary Care International (PCI), an organization which specializes in providing continuing medical educational content for family doctors in the UK. The training program aims to develop a unique medical team specialized in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of family & children diseases.
After the program, each member of the medical team will be able to deal professionally with various chronic diseases at the same level as it is done in the UK. Diseases include diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases and asthma.
Dr. Khalil Abdel Khalek, Tabibi 24/7 Chief Medical Officer, expressed his happiness with launching the initiative, and mentioned its success would not have been possible without the partnership between Tabibi 24/7 and Alameda Healthcare. Alameda Healthcare is Egypts leading healthcare group with holdings that include, As-Salam International Hospital (Maadi), As-Salam International Hospital (Katameya), majority stakes in Dar Al Fouad Hospital (6th October) and Dar Al Fouad Hospital (Madinat Nasr), Unilab Laboratories, and Elixir Gastro Care Center.
We are excited to see the kick off of our partnership with Tabibi 24/7 and to see the enthusiasm of the team through this training program. Tabibi 24/7 centers and Family Medicine will play a crucial role in the modern healthcare network that we are building to provide world-class care that our users deserve. There is a very ambitious plan of expansion that will bring these services to every corner of the country and integrate them with all our other facilities and services, stated Dr. Fahad Khater, Chairman of Alameda Healthcare.
Dr. Khalil Abdel Khalek also affirmed that Egypt needs to create a strong basis for its health services through reactivating the role of the family doctor who can diagnose, treat and work on prevention of all family diseases, then direct the patient when needed to the right entity, hospital, medical labs or radiology center, while providing all sorts of support throughout the treatment journey.
High quality family doctors and primary healthcare reflect the unique vision of Tabibi 24/7. To enable this, the company does not only train doctors to the highest level, it also enables them to communicate with their patients through the most recent technological channels
In addition to providing home visits, medical consultancies through the phone, around the clock, seven days a week, Tabibi 24/7 also provides vaccinations, vaccine reminders services, follow up on surgeries and other general medical services as required.
His Excellency John Casson, the British Ambassador in Egypt, attended one of the training sessions on Sunday July 24th, 2016. Mr. Casson declared that “helping Egyptians create a better future for their country by empowering them with education, skills and knowledge is a top priority for me. So I find Tabibi a very inspiring company. It takes the best from the UK National Health Service and gives it to professional Egyptian doctors. Congratulations to everyone on this great initiative. I hope that it will inspire many more social entrepreneurs to create new partnerships between the UK and Egypt.”
